Let's Discover London has been guiding thousands of people since 2006.Our tours, both online and in person, are fun, interactive, using street views, old paintings and ofcourse lots of stories told by a Londoner who's lived here for over 50 years. You don't need any prior knowledge to enjoy our tours. <h3></h3><h2>What this tour is about:</h2><h3>Much more than the tennis, ace service which you will LOVE... the Wonderful Wimbledon Guided Walk </h3><h3>Join us on this fascinating guided walk, up the hill to Wimbledon Village to find out about  Wimbledon’s fair share of action; it&#x27;s much more than the tennis, with gun fights and duels, stagecoaches and hangings, old Georgian pubs and highwaymen chases.</h3><h3>The manor of Wimbledon was owned by prominent people throughout English history, Thomas Cromwell, Catherine Par, Mary I, Cardinal Reginald Pole, the Cecil family, Sarah Churchill and the first Earl Spencer. </h3><h3>And there’s weird history on the way: the man who deliberately set fire to a house with the king and queen in it and got away with it; bizarre tennis matches like the man who asked for champagne (it helped his power, but apparently he fell over every time he tried to turn). </h3><h3></h3><h3>And of course we’ll cover the history of the most famous, oldest, tennis tournament in the world from a sport derived from an eight-page instruction booklet, invented by a Welshman, which was Lawn tennis.</h3><h3></h3><h3>This two and a half hour guided starts outside Wimbledon train station and ends in Wimbledon Village a short walk from the tennis. I don&#x27;t assume any prior knowledge of history and the tour is suitable for locals or tourists, adults and children. There&#x27;ll be time for questions and conversation, I&#x27;ll show you pictures and tell you lots of stories to really make the tour come to life.</h3><h3>Will the tour go ahead if there is bad weather?Yes it will. Please wear appropriate clothing.</h3><h2>How many people will be in the group?</h2><h3>I have a maximum of 12 people so that you have a better experience.</h3><h2>Can I cancel my ticket?</h2><h3>Yes.
