Calling all artists who apply for funding or projects! If you could use some help and guidance, this workshop will explore key ingredients for effective proposals and give you the space to chat to other artists about any roadblocks in your way.1st hour: workshop2nd hour: drop-in session (for anyone wanting to have a short chat about their specific proposal) All are welcome, hot drinks and biscuits available, pay what you can – donations go towards keeping Dyddiau Du alive and kicking!A bit about me (Lucy): I’ve gained experience as part of a panel deciding on artists-in-residence in the past as well as a pre-selection jury member for a film festival. I’ve also been on the other side of the door – I’ve written applications and proposals for myself as a writer, for collaborative projects with other artists, and have contributed to and edited proposals for organisations looking for funding. I am by no means an expert, but hope to help other artists in some way who may be struggling. I’ve put together some top tips and ways to explore what makes an application sing. If you’re an artist applying for funding and projects and don’t know where to start (or how to go on!) this is for you.——————Dyddiau Du is a community library and space for literature &amp; art in the heart of Cardiff. We have a regular schedule of events across lit and art each month, as well as one-off events such as Publisher Showcases and book launches. We're also available for private hire!
