Safer Spaces Canning Town

A series of events and activities in Canning Town to explore new approaches and ideas that will make women and girls feel safer on the London bus network (a TfL initiative).

Please join us this intimate evening of safety, sisterhood and sharing. Led by experienced facilitators, this is a workshop designed for women and LGBTQ+ to:<ul><li>share their stories</li><li>connect and relax </li><li>Play a part in creating safer spaces and travel </li></ul>This event will offer an intersectional space that is sexism, racism, classism and ableism free, to help explore topics around the safety of all people that identify as women. We sit in circle to create a unique and safe space for listening, sharing and connecting. AKOU is working with highly qualified and talented facilitators who will bring sound baths, gongs and specilist facilitation skills to ensure that you leave feeling heard, held and ultra relaxed. There are limited spaces so please let us know if you are unable to make it. Attendees will be thanked for their time and contribution to the project with a gift voucher and a goodie bag. This event forms part of the Safer Spaces project (a Transport for London (TfL) initiative working to End Violence Against Women and Girls). We’re focusing on the area around Canning Town bus station to hear your issues around safety and security. And importantly help lead to new solutions designed by you and your experience.
