Growing Colour Together is more than a project, it’s a MOVEMENT! And our ambition is to create a district-wide, natural-dye, colour garden!We want to give everyone the opportunity to ‘have a grow,’ use what’s grown to make natural dyes, and learn about the environmental implications of chemical dyes and what we buy.Growing Colour Together is an evolving project and we want people to join in with the areas that interest you most to grow, make, create and debate!<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXhG8Lxe7pY" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">WOVEN Growing Colour Together Project Film</a>Join us in the garden at Birkby &amp; Fartown Library and see what we&#x27;ve been working on during the past few months - from planting a dye garden, learning about natural colour and natural dyes, to getting creative with our results. Working alongside WOVEN Artists and the existing S2R Support to Recovery gardening group the community have created a beautiful space for everyone to enjoy. Plus, we&#x27;ll be launching the Growing Colour Together zine library. Free entry, stove cook up, all welcome!

WOVEN artists M﻿ichaela and Cherry met every other Tuesday (from Feb 21st) with S2R Gardening and Wellbeing group at Birkby and Fartown Library. They hosted creative Growing Colour Together activity around, garden zine making, creative writing from the garden, gardening workshops and natural dye processes. All inspired by WOVEN&#x27;s Growing Colour Together project. They worked together with the community in Birkby to create an outcome for the WOVEN 2023 festival. Use this event to find out more about what they created with the community and explore their finished dye garden and artwork.
