Reading is joining the Incredible Edible network of urban food growers! Come and be a part of it. If you eat, you are in.<a href="https://linktr.ee/incredibleediblereading" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Incredible Edible</a> is a growing movement of communities coming together through the power of food. Watch the Ted Talk below!Incredible Edible Reading is on a mission to encourage and support residents to grow food locally. We will make connections between communities and businesses that want to grow food and contribute to the town&#x27;s biodiversity.We are really keen to hear from the people of Reading about how the network can support food-growing ideas. Come along to find out what <a href="https://linktr.ee/incredibleediblereading" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Incredible Edible Reading</a> is all about. Visit our stall on outside Sainsbury&#x27;s on Broad Street on Sunday 18th June 2023 during Reading Climate Festival to enjoy. Take part in these cool activities!<ul><li>demonstrations of food-growing techniques, such as using everyday items to grow a range of plants in small spaces;</li><li>bring a soil or compost sample from your garden, allotment or other site along for our experts to test under the microscope. Find out what lives in there and how beneficial it is for growing; </li><li>b﻿ring seeds to swap!</li><li>digital stories about food growing from around Reading and beyond and an invitation to record your own story;</li><li>a display of sites around the town where food growing is taking place and an invitation to add your own site;</li><li>a hands-on planting to get you started with food growing at home. </li></ul>This event is hosted by <a href="https://www.incredibleedible.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">RISC</a>, <a href="https://www.food4families.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Food4Families</a>, <a href="https://transitiontownreading.wordpress.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Transition Town Reading</a>, and <a href="http://www.readingfoodgrowingnetwork.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Reading Food Growing Network</a> and is part of <a href="https://readingcan.org.uk/festival/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Reading Climate Festival</a> 2023. Held in association with the UK&#x27;s <a href="https://greatbiggreenweek.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Great Big Green Week</a>, we offer live and online events to inspire and encourage positive action on climate change between 10th and 21st June, ending on <a href="https://showyourstripes.info/s/globe" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Show Your Stripes Day</a>.
