LGBTQ+ Beginner and Intermediate Ballet Class
LGBTQ+ friendly beginners and intermediate ballet class. A holistic practice that will improve your strength, coordination and flexibility.
This weekly ballet class is designed for members of the LGBTQ+ community who want to learn the foundations of ballet or build on existing skills in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment.
Through a holistic approach to movement, the class helps improve strength, coordination, flexibility, and body awareness.
Participants are encouraged to explore their physical abilities and creativity through the expressive art of ballet.
No formal ballet attire is required. Simply wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Ballet shoes are optional.
Come along to move, connect, and experience the joy of dancing in community — and perhaps discover a little more of your true essence along the way.
About the organiser
At Ballet in the Park, we believe ballet belongs to everyone. Our mission is to break down the elitist barriers that have long surrounded this art form and reimagine ballet as a space of freedom, expression, and belonging. Regardless of age, race, body type, background, or experience, every body deserves the chance to move, create, and be seen.
Through the healing and transformative power of dance, we bring communities together — nurturing confidence, creativity, and connection in spaces where people feel safe to explore their movement and identity.
Founded in South London in 2020, Ballet in the Park continues to grow as a vibrant and inclusive community where ballet is not about perfection, but about joy, expression, and the courage to show up exactly as you are.
