Since 1999, Pembroke College has been hosting a visiting scholar each year as part of the Fulbright programme. This Trinity Term we are delighted to welcome<a href="https://history.sdsu.edu/people/daddis" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Fulbright Visiting Fellow Gregory A. Daddis, Professor of History and USS Midway Chair in Modern U.S. Military History. </a>The Fulbright Seminar Series for 2023 will be on the topic of War and Society. On Tuesday 2 May at 5pm, Professor Daddis will be joined by <a href="https://www.susanlcarruthers.com/biography" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Susan L. Carruthers, Professor of U.S./International History at the University of Warwick </a>to discuss: 'How does war influence a nation’s popular and political cultures?'T﻿he event starts at 5pm on Tuesday 2 May in the Harold Lee Room, which is fully wheelchair accessible.
