Join us for a lazy Sunday afternoon at the Pipe Factory for Spit it Out's version of afternoon tea with poetry and cake!

Spit it Out are bringing together an incredible programme of Workshops, Talks, Exhibitions, Screenings and Live Performances focusing on how we discuss and create around the topics of consent, identity, mental health and transformative justice.

Join us as we finish up in Glasgow before our festival moves online with an Afternoon-Tea Poetry Party! You are invited to a community hang at The Pipe Factory, where we will be serving a throw-together afternoon tea with hot drinks, cakes and sandwiches to compliment the voices of our Spit it Out poets. We aim to create a casual setting to discuss mental health with plenty of floor space to sit on (alternatively chairs can be provided) as we relax amongst the collaborative artwork of Over/Exposed. (See event: Over/Exposed Exhibition Opening for further details)Bring a picnic blanket for extra cosiness! Please make the Spit it Out team aware of any allergies when you arrive. We will make sure to have dairy-free and gluten-free options. Performances fromNaomi HeadNaomi Head is a writer and poet based in Edinburgh. Her work focuses on processing and overcoming mental health challenges, and explores her relationships with friends, family, food and community. You can connect with Naomi online at naomihead.com or @naomieah_ Ross WilcockRoss Wilcock is a queer/disabled spoken word poet and writer from Glasgow, Scotland whose work has been heavily inspired by his life living in an abled society. He covers themes of queerness, identity and disability. https://linktr.ee/rosswilcockmedia Gray CrosbieGray Crosbie is a Glasgow-based poet who writes about queerness, gender, werewolves, and biscuits. They perform regularly at poetry and cabaret nights around Scotland, and work with BBC The Social to create short poetry films. Their pamphlet of flash fiction, Love, Pan-Fried, was published in 2019 by Knight Errant Press. IG: plantpowered_poet Jade SteinJade is a spoken word artist and Feminist, living in Musselburgh. Her work explores relationships, inequality, mental health, LGBTQ+ joy and a mishmash of other topics. She is passionate about writing, spoken word and music. Her love of these practices is driven by the community they build.Ace BamusiAndrew &#x27;Ace&#x27; Bamusi (aka ACE V!S!ON) is a 22-year-old student born in Lilongwe Malawi and raised in the East End of Glasgow, Scotland. The poetically inspired songwriter/rapper/bassist is equally as comfortable communicating freestyle/spoken word on open-mic stages as he is lacing eloquent rhyme to experimental rhythm in the booth.
