WELCOME aboard!

Join the ARKADE crew for this free boat trip along the estuary to discover ocean science, wildlife and the wonder of your Essex coastline.

This enjoyable 1.5 hour trip will be relaxed and include some species identification and offer you the opportunity to find out more what natural efforts are talking place to help restore the seabed and help ecosystems.

Depending on his availability, Professor Graham Underwood, from University of Essex may also join us to introduce you to his passion for the ocean wildlife and care.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

These ocean expeditions are FREE and specifically allocated for participants taking part in our ARKADE creative workshops. Please select just one ticket for either of the dates listed. We are also opening up additional times for the public, so if these dates do not work for you, let us know (info@we-are-instar.co.uk) and we can book you onto one of the other sessions before we promote them to the general public. There are 8 spaces on each trip.

PREPARING FOR THE WEATHER

Please wear appropriate clothing, bring waterproof coat/warm clothing and even sun screen ( you never know....) and if you have binoculars bring them along too. We will also provide some to share between the group.

There is a toilet on board and access on the boat is good for those with physical limitations - please do let us know what your access needs are and if you require assistance.

Bring light refreshments, snack and drink with you.

TRANSPORT

Each boat excursion is for 1.5 hours and we will provide a free minibus departing from Jaywick Martello Tower promptly at 8:30am in the morning - so as to arrive at Brightlingsea for 9am to aboard our boat. You will return back to Jaywick Martello Tower at approximately 11:00am.
