Olympic gold medallist freestyle skier Birk Ruud fighting TV personality Nicolay RammFrom the slopes to the ropes, 22 year old Birk Ruud shot to fame in Norway when he successfully claimed an Olympic gold medal in the 2022 winter Olympics. Ruud’s legendary win included a double 1440 mute holding the Norwegian flag. Who will be left with the Norwegian flag around their shoulders this December when he faces off against Nicolay Ramm in the chessboxing ring? Neither fighter has any experience in boxing or chess and they will be training from scratch in order to compete as part of the Norwegian TV show.Chessboxing is the ultimate test of brain and brawn and is always a special night. We have a stellar line-up of fighters and entertainers including new faces and established stars of the chessboxing scene.Chessboxing is a wild mix-up of two of mankind’s oldest sporting obsessions.
