What is a ‘relationship’ with money?

It’s how you think, feel, talk, and act around money.  Think about it in the same way you would having a relationship with another human being and all the habits (good and bad), and emotions that are involved in that relationship.

Question 2

Surely if I budget and save then I will be fine?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily; Accounting systems will tell you how much money you have, or don’t have, and where it goes, but they do not take into account the emotional or psychological side of money, and any negative money habits you have.

Question 3

I am not struggling financially; do I still need to Make Peace With Money?

Accepted Answer

Yes; just because you have money doesn’t mean you have a good relationship with money.  Some people worry more when they have money because they fear losing it, or feel they constantly have to save for a rainy day.  They can also feel over confident and have bad money habits.

Question 4

Is the course easy to do?

Accepted Answer

All you need is access to the Internet and the ability to download the workbooks, then you’re good to go.

How are the coaching sessions accessed?

They can be run via Zoom, or over the phone.

Question 6

When will I start to see progress?

Accepted Answer

It can be different for each person.  Everyone who starts Make Peace With Money will be at a different starting point and will be affected by their own experiences.  It also depends how deeply you immerse yourself in the programme and how you implement the exercises and tools.

Will it make me rich?

Accepted Answer

Hopefully, if that’s one of your money goals, but unfortunately, I can’t promise anything; it all depends on you and how seriously you take the programme.

I’ve tried some of the techniques before and they didn’t work.

Accepted Answer

All of the tools I use in the programme have been around for many years; some will work for one person and not for another, it’s about finding what works for you.  You also need patience, there is no quick fix, and sometimes people don't give the tools time to work.

What if I struggle with the programme?

Accepted Answer

Kim is available by e-mail if you are having specific problems, or if the programme is bringing up emotions for you; while she can respond with brief answers to questions, you would need to book a coaching session with her (at an additional cost to the two sessions included).

Question 10

When do I get the coaching sessions included in the programme?

Accepted Answer

You can book the sessions whenever you want, however I would suggest you do one at the start of the programme and one towards the end.

Question 11

What is the Facebook Group?

This is a private group which is exclusive for people who have started their own Make Peace With Money journey in some way.  It is a space that is designed to be supportive and encouraging.  There are twice weekly, live, short money mindfulness meditations, money tips and advice and affirmations.

Question 12

What do I do once I’ve completed the 8 sessions?

It depends on how you are feeling and if you feel you need further support.  Kim is available for private coaching sessions, and has different options available for this; just drop her an e-mail.

Question 13

Is it all Woo-woo?

Accepted Answer

One of the requirements of doing the programme is to have an open mind; all the tools used in the programme are tried and tested, some may take you out of your comfort zone, but that is the best place to be for real change to happen.

Question 14

Can I get a refund if I don’t like the programme?

Accepted Answer

Once the programme has started no refunds will be available.  Refunds will be available up until 1 day before the start of the programme.

Question 15

Will what I say in the coaching sessions remain private?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the coaching sessions are not recorded, however I do take notes and e-mail you insights and action steps, once the e-mail has been sent the notes are destroyed.  The sent e-mails are kept for the duration of our time working together, after which point, they will be deleted.

Will the sessions be recorded?

Accepted Answer

Yes, however they will only be available to those signed onto the programme, for use if they miss a session.

Question 17

Do I have to share anything I don't want during the programme?

Accepted Answer

I encourage people to take part in the sessions, however there is no pressure to do so if you do not want, you can share as much or as little as you want.

Question 18

Is Kim a qualified Doctor or Counsellor?

Accepted Answer

No, while Kim does have basic counselling skills, she is not a counsellor, and her coaching should not be seen as a replacement for professional mental or emotional support.  If Kim feels that you need additional support, she will suggest this.

Question 19

What if I can't make a live session?

Accepted Answer

I would encourage you to make all the live sessions if you can in order to gain the most benefit, however, if you need to miss a session you can contact Kim and she will send you a recording of the session you missed.
