60 Minute Heroes Weekender!

60 Minute Heroes Weekender!

Rimrose Valley Country ParkWaterloo, Merseyside
Saturday, Jan 10 from 11 am to 12 pm GMT
Overview

Join Dave and his team of volunteers for some volunteering on Rimrose Valley!

Nature for HEART is a project funded by the National Lottery’s Awards for All programme and the PH Holt Foundation. We’re delivering a series of events and activities designed to get more people active on Rimrose Valley, connecting with each other and the park’s nature.

Dave and his team of volunteers would like to invite our Eventbrite followers to join us to help tackle some basic maintenance of Rimrose Valley.

These new weekend sessions will take place on the second Saturday of the month and require just one hour of your time. It would be great to welcome some new faces - old, young and everything in between!

Project funding enables us to offer free refreshments and cover volunteer expenses, such as the cost of public transport to / from the activity.

Typical activities include trimming back overgrowth around benches, bins and signage, as well keep pathways clear of weeds and brambles.

So, why not come along, meet new people, and make a difference by enhancing the local environment?

What you need to know…
> Wherever possible, please bring your own protective gloves.
> A shovel and brush is often handy if you're able to bring it with you
> If other equipment is needed, we have a small supply which can be provided or shared
> For more information or if you have any specific questions, please email
dave@rimrosevalleyfriends.org

IMPORTANT: Bad weather can lead to the cancellation of these sessions, sometimes at short notice. If you're registered via Eventbrite we'll email you on the morning of the activity. Alternatively, to check whether it’s happening, look out for a post on our Facebook page:
