Please read all the details below which is information about what to expect and what to bring, payment details and contraindications. Recliner chairs are available for those that have prefernce to not lay on the floor.Sit/ Lie back, relax and enjoy a grounding meditation, an immersion of specially crafted therapeutic sound. The Heart Chakra is the 4th of 7 energetic centers in our body and is located in the center of your chest. This Chakra drives our emotions and opens us up to the love and compassion in our lives. It is also believed by some that the Heart Chakra is associated with our Thymus Gland, lungs and circulation. When out of balance we may be unable to be authentic in our emotions, judgmental, or have an inability to be true in our emotional connections with others. This is your chance to rebalance your Heart Chakra and connect yourself with the beautiful love that rest in your heart. We start the session with an energy clearing excercise,/or grounding meditation /or chanting before settling down to the Soundbath.We finish the session with a variety of chimes and rattles to bring you back to the present moment.Herbal teas and biscuits are then served giving us an opportunity to chat and connect. What is a Sound bath ?A Sound Bath provides the space and sounds for you to relax at a profound level. This allows your body to find its natural balance and your energy systems to recalibrate . Sound bathing goes as far back as the times of ancient Greek philosophers, who used the frequencies as a form of medicine to treat a myriad of ailments. The waves of sound (which are produced in a Sound Bath by Himalayan singing bowls, crystal bowls, gongs,tuning forks, shamanic drumming, and more) are said to calm the nervous system and balance the subtle body. In addition this holistic practice of sound bathing has also been known to work wonders for stress relief, insomnia, anxiety, chronic pain, and even depression. What to bring. Please bring your own mats, and then whatever you need to make a cosy bed for yourself. Some people bring a yoga mat, thin mattress, sleeping bag to lie on then you need a top layer such as a quilt or blankets. You need a pillow, eye mask if preferred, and wear loose warm clothing. Some people bring crystals to place upon themselves. Some bring special items such as pictures, jewelery, for cleansing in the sound vibrations.You should get your fluids up the day before and bring your own water at your side. You need a good glass of water following the sound bath. What to expect .The room is often darkened and cleansed with sage... everything is in place for a peaceful, relaxing time together. I usually play for an hour most of the instruments are played from one place and occasionally they are brought around the room, these include crystal bowls of all shapes and sizes, gongs, chimes, drums , tibetan singing bowls and other musical instruments to lull you into a peaceful and mindful state of being.Before your sound bath, we will do an energy clearing exercise. Once you&#x27;ve laid down and cosied up under your blanket, I will guide you through a guided meditation experience, before settling into the Soundbath.Event ends with free herbal teas and biscuit. Please bring your own cup if you wish to partake or I will have disposables,Cancellation policy The £13.50 fee is for the ticket in addition at checkout there is a booking fee that Eventbrite charge for their services.Please note Eventbrite’s fees are non-refundable, so they won&#x27;t be returned to the ticket buyer unless the event is cancelled, or if the buyer requests a refund for a duplicate charge within 7 days of purchase.My Ticket prices - are not refundable if you cancel within 24 hours of the event . However it can be transferred to another for the same event. I will do my very best to try and sell the ticket in your absence and only if I receive a payment will I be able to refund your full amount (less Eventbrite fee).ContraindicationsIf you are pregnant, suffer from epilepsy, had a recent operation, wear heart monitors, metal implants, recent stroke or have any medical complaint or any mental health diagnosis such as PTSD , that you may feel I need to consider please let me know so I can assess your needs or suitability for a soundbath or if in any doubt then please seek advice from your GP before booking. About SpeedwellAngela runs Speedwell Sound Therapy and is a qualified Psychotherapist , Reiki Master and certified sound therapist. She has recently completed additional higher-level diploma with training providers British Academy of Sound Therapy, which allows her to facilitate group sound therapy and sound and movement therapy sessions, which merge a reflective process with sound, allowing the participant to connect with elements that cause an imbalance in their systems. Speedwell Sound Therapy is insured and a member of ITSA.
