Join Cycle Islington for our AGM followed by our special guest speaker Anna Hughes,  environmental campaigner, author and cyclist

Cycle Islington is delighted to confirm that our guest speaker at our 2023 AGM is<a href="https://www.annacycles.co.uk" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Anna Hughes</a> Anna is an environmental campaigner, author and cyclist. In 2011, Anna cycled 4000 miles around the coast of Britain, an adventure that led to the publication of her first book, Eat, Sleep, Cycle. Anna has since published two more books: Pedal Power and Peaky Climbers. She is the Director of <a href="https://flightfree.co.uk" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Flight Free UK</a> and was included in Cycling UK&#x27;s 2019 list of 100 Women in Cycling. Anna will be talking to us about how she prepared for her cycling adventures and how she kept her motivation going even through Highland storms and the challenge of Mont Ventoux. Anna will also share some thoughts about travelling without flying, in particular taking bikes on trains which in the UK, as we know from experience, isn&#x27;t as easy as it should be.Please arrive as soon after 1900 as you can. Formal AGM business will begin at 1930 and will end at about 2015. Anna&#x27;s talk will begin at 2030 and there will be ample opportunity for Q&amp;A and discussion.Drinks and snacks will be available and donations towards the cost of these will be very welcome.There will also be a raffle (bring cash if possible) the proceeds from which will be shared between Flight Free UK and Cycle Islington.
