Tombland and the Riverside Walk – celebrating public open space in the city

W﻿e organise an annual programme of events focusing on the history of Norwich, including talks, walking tours and visits. The majority of these are open to the general public as well as Members of the Norwich Society Members.

The Norwich Society

The Norwich Society has been influential in maintaining Tombland as an open space and developing the much-loved Riverside Walk.

The Erpingham Gate

The tour celebrates this public open space in the heart of the city and looks at other important Norwich Society projects including Augustine Steward&#x27;s House, the Moray Smith panorama at the Maid&#x27;s Head Hotel, the preservation of Bishop&#x27;s Bridge and the restoration of Pull&#x27;s Ferry.This tour starts outside the Erpingham Gate in Tombland and finishes at Pull&#x27;s Ferry.T﻿our Guide: Paul Dickson
