Join Threads of Survival to help make a new collaborative quilt for Kirklees. All materials will be provided. No sewing skills required.

You are invited to join <a href="https://threadsofsurvival.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Threads of Survival</a> in making a collaborative quilt as part of <a href="https://woveninkirklees.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">WOVEN in Kirklees</a>.Using the &#x27;QUILTED: Community, Creativity and Care&#x27; exhibition as inspiration, the Threads of Survival group are holding several sessions where you can make a quilt square, which will become part of a new quilt that will reflect our Community, Creativity &amp; Care.All sessions are free &amp; materials are provided. Though this isn&#x27;t a taught workshop, Threads of Survival volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and there are lots of different ways to decorate the quilt square: no sewing skills necessary - just enjoy your creativity!Come to one or more session. You can finish your square at home but for your square to be part of the collaborative quilt, it must be returned to Huddersfield Art Gallery by Wednesday 28th June. (If returning by post, the square must have arrived by the 28th at the latest.)The quilt will then be made up and displayed during the last week of WOVEN.To learn more about the Threads of Survival project, visit their website: <a href="https://threadsofsurvival.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://threadsofsurvival.org/</a>This event will take place in Huddersfield Art Gallery&#x27;s temporary space in the Piazza Shopping Centre in Huddersfield. While the venue itself is wheelchair accessible, please note that there are no accessible toilets within the building.
