Wellbeing at Work East Sussex

Training delivered by the East Sussex Wellbeing at Work Programme, in partnership with One You East Sussex.

We provide free Workplace Wellbeing Champions Training in partnership with <a href="https://oneyoueastsussex.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">One You East Sussex</a>. We encourage registered employers to send at least one employee on this crucial training, as having a workplace health champion in your organisation can help you drive forward wellbeing improvements and support your journey to Wellbeing at Work accreditation.Wellbeing Champions promote healthy lifestyles and inspire others to take a more active role in their health. This course will give delegates the confidence and skills they need to become a champion of wellbeing in their organisation. Attendees will learn: <ul><li><a href="https://oneyoueastsussex.org.uk/making-every-contact-count-mecc-for-all/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Making Every Contact Count (MECC</a><a href="https://oneyoueastsussex.org.uk/making-every-contact-count-mecc-for-all/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a>skills, and how to use them to have conversations with colleagues</li><li>how to run health and wellbeing activities in the workplace</li><li>how to find local services and resources that colleagues can be signposted towards for support</li></ul>The course is online, and there is a mandatory video to watch ahead of the live session on the 21st September.It is expected that an employee being sent on champion training will already have an interest or passion for health and wellbeing, but they don’t need any prior knowledge or training. Once qualified, champions will gain access to networking meetings hosted by the Wellbeing at Work team, where champions can access support; best practice examples can be shared; health campaign materials will be distributed and expert-led, topic-based upskill sessions led.
