Come and join me for a fun morning learning how to create your own decorative mug and coaster from clay. No experience necessary.

The Walronds

Hello,My name is Helen McCormick and I&#x27;m a local ceramic artist and teacher. I&#x27;ve been creating objects from clay for the past 25 years, and I still absolutely love the process. I am passionate about teaching and have created this workshop to share my skills, knowledge and experience with anyone who would like to have a go for the first time or to develop their skills further.This workshop is designed to be a relaxed, friendly space where you can meet new people and have the opportunity to create, learn and have fun. In the morning, you will learn how to design and make your own beautiful mug and coaster using traditional slab building techniques. All materials and equipment will be provided. Tea and Coffee will be available throughout the morning. The only thing you need to bring is an apron or wear old clothes. There is FREE parking at the Walronds. Their carpark is located at the back of the building. To access the carpark you will need to turn up Tiverton Road off the High Street, and then turn left just before the fire station onto Shortlands Lane. It is a narrow lane and easily missed. Drive a few yards up the lane and you will see the sign for the carpark on the left. Turn left and follow the drive through the gate ahead. After the workshop, I will carefully take your mug and coaster home and fire them in my kiln. These mugs will need to be glazed so that they hold liquid. Your beautiful creations will be ready for collection 4-6 weeks after the workshop finishes from the Walronds. I will let you know the time and date.
