The Tunbridge Wells Poetry Festival runs from Thursday 1 June to Tuesday 20 June, 2023 and brings poetry to the widest possible audience. High profile headline acts combine with hands-on workshops, poetic entertainments and open mics in a varied programme that invites participation regardless of experience – do join in!

This lunchtime review will bring together creativity and concern for the environment. Working with Steve’s latest book: GAIA. Being. Alive, participants are invited to discuss environmental challenges and to explore that theme within writing and readings. An opportunity, if you wish, to share your environmental writing or just enjoy the perspectives of others. Bring a notebook and pen, and any thoughts, questions or ideas. Sometimes our thoughts and intentions can make all the difference.Copies of Steve&#x27;s book will be available for the special &quot;festival&quot; price of £10 (usually £14) with proceeds supporting the festival and Tunbridge Wells Friends of the Earth.Steve Walter is a writer and a poet. He graduated in biochemistry and chemistry in Sheffield. He has performed at the Edinburgh and Brighton Festival Fringes, based on his first book, &#x27;Fast Train Approaching...&#x27;, a powerful, yet good humoured, account of life during and after breakdown and recovery. His poetry has been published by Against the Grain and Indigo Dreams. GAIA: Being Alive is his first full collection.
