Unicorns in Tech is a global LGBTIQ+ tech community that brings together LGBTIQ+ tech talents, companies and organisations striving for an open corporate culture based on diversity & inclusion. Since its start in 2014 in Berlin, the network of over 4000 members has been rapidly expanding through a myriad of events all year long and our online channels.The community is directed to everyone who feels at home in the tech world, works for a technology company, or is simply fascinated by the latest technological inventions or apps. Our community members have the opportunity to network and share ideas, support each other and start new projects together, all in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.Unicorns in Tech events are in the DNA of our community. We bring the community together every month through talks, panels, workshops and networking activities — both online and offline. I joined Romeo in 2022 after a long search for a company culture that is really inclusive and focusses on people.Murat Seyfi (he/him) | Chief Product OfficerStarted out as Graphic Designer, worked as Head of Digital Creative at a well known fashion brand, joined Romeo in 2020. Murat was looking for a position with a lot of possibilities for growth combined with a product he deeply identifies with. Having an actual impact on peoples lives motivates him.Paolo Merli (he/him) | Junior Backend DeveloperJoined Erasys in April 2023. Paolo moves laterally from Project Management and Customer Care after finishing a BSc in Computer Science, moved from Italy to Berlin and is now involved from the first moment on in working on our legacy topics to prepare for the next steps in development.Markus Pfeifer (he/him) | Chief Technical OfficerLongtime Manager in Tech and COO for various Tech Companies and Startups in NL and Germany, he is author, from Southern Tirol, lived for a long time in the Netherlands and Spain, loves people and tech.
