Affordable Housing and Viability London Plan Guidance - Public consultation event

The Mayor of London is consulting on new Affordable Housing and Development Viability London Plan Guidance (LPG) which set out further steps towards ensuring that development proposals assessed through the planning system provide more of the homes that London needs, a key objective of the London Plan. Affordable Housing LPG: sets out how the threshold approach to planning applications should work in practice, covers the requirements for different types of affordable housing, explains grant funding and its relationship with the planning process, and clarifies how affordable housing should be secured and monitored.Development Viability LPG: sets out how viability assessment should be carried out in accordance with the London Plan and other material considerations. It is relevant for all planning applications where an applicant, a planning authority or the Mayor needs to rely on viability information. It should be taken account of by planning authorities where area-wide viability testing is being carried out.This event is a general briefing for stakeholders to find out more about the new LPGs.
