<h3>What you can expect</h3><p>Propel your technique and playing to a whole new level in this professional yet informal and fun workshop where you'll get to  refine your drum technique in a group environment by learning and understanding two key motion techniques:</p><p><strong>Motion studies </strong>- We'll start by going back to the basics of motion control and refine what you already know when it comes to understanding the motions required to play rudiments properly. These are essential foundations for every drummer and will leave you with a better sense of how to play dynamics and accents  fluently and with confidence. </p><p><strong>Moeller technique - </strong>Inspired by marching drummers, Sanford Moeller developed this technique in the early 1900s. Despite being invented almost 100 years ago, it has become one of the most popular techniques that continues being taught and enables modern drummers to play with incredible power, speed and control while staying relaxed.</p><p>Y﻿ou will be leaving with a great understanding of the Moeller technique as well as a few exercise sheets that you can work on back home.</p><p>T﻿here will be a 30 minute break with refreshments (coffee, tea, juices and biscuits etc). There is parking and also buses that stop a 2 minute walk from the workshop venue.</p><p></p>

<h3>Who should attend</h3><p>This workshop is aimed at intermediate - advanced players. Recommended for those who have been playing for at least a year. <h3>What do I need to bring?</h3><p>All you need to attend this workshop is a practice pad with a stand and a pair of your favourite sticks. If you don't have a pad, don't worry, I can provide one for you.</p><p></p>

<h3>H﻿ow much does it cost?</h3><p>T﻿ickets are £50 per person with a concession price of £30 for retirees and students. However if you book early you can take advantage of early bird prices at a lower rate.</p><p></p>

<h3>About the instructor</h3><ul><li>David Floegel; born in Germany, studied in London, now living in Brighton</li><li>E﻿njoyed private drum tuition for over 15 years in Germany</li><li>25 years of playing and 12+ years teaching experience</li><li>Awarded a scholarship for B﻿erklee College of Music in Boston, US</li><li>E﻿xperienced in multiple styles including Jazz, Funk, Soul, Pop, Rock and Metal</li><li>Had the benefit of studying both in a 1-on-1 setting and group sessions with some of the most influential drummers in the world such as Gavin Harrison, Dave Langguth, Dave Weckl, Chris Coleman, Benny Greb, Jost Nickel, Claus Hessler, Wolfgang Basler, Stephan Emig, David Garibaldi and more.</li></ul><p>Check out my <a href="https://youtube.com/c/davidfloegeldrums" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Youtube channel</a> for some of my playing!</p>
