Carmen Marcus has written a novel on the train, written poetry, rehearsed gigs on trains. Join her on board one off exciting journey into word for a very different workshop where you&#x27;ll get to write with the sights, views, sounds and rhythms, voices and interruptions of travelling infusing your work, where we cross the lines between words, sound and place.<ul><li>M﻿eet at Middlesbrough Station at 1pm for the 13.26 train to Bishop Aukland</li><li>D﻿o *not* buy a ticket as an official letter of free travel will be provided!</li><li>W﻿orkshop takes place on the train, and we will spend just under an hour in Bishop Aukland to stretch our legs and grab a cuppa before heading back</li><li>Y﻿ou can join the train anywhere along this route</li></ul>P﻿oetry Playspaces are opportunities for Tees Women Poets to explore the topics and practices that nourish and fascinate them, and to share their knowledge with sister-poets. Carmen&#x27;s workshop is informed by her time as commissioned poet-in-residence for the TWP with the Storylines project, collecting train stories to celebrate the centenary of the Stockton-Darlington Railway.O﻿ur events are currently free thanks to funding from Arts Council England, but if you&#x27;d like to make a contribution towards our sustainability then a donation, however small, is always greatly appreciated!
