<p>We  are  delighted  to  welcome  back  the  wonderful  Seonaid  Aitken,  who  was  voted  top  jazz  vocalist  in  2017  and  2018.  The  ensemble  will  perform  ‘What  Is  This  Thing  Called  Love?’  paying  homage  to  Seonaid’s  favourite  jazz  vocalist,  the  iconic  Ella  Fitzgerald,  by  exploring  the  Great  American  Songbook  with  selections from her 2019 album ‘What Is This Thing Called Love?’. The   ensemble   will   also   perform   Seonaid’s   musical   suite   ‘Chasing Sakura, originally commissioned by Edinburgh Jazz &amp; Blues  Festival  in  2021.  The  piece  was  written  for  a  hand- picked ensemble of a string quintet and sax/flute and followed the  lifespan  of  the  cherry  blossom,  exploring  the  themes  of  a  fleeting but beautiful life lived to the fullest.</p>
