Participants are guided through simple activities to tune into being outside, how we sense, how we move through and relate to landscapes.From these enlivening and thought-provoking experiences, we can reconsider our felt relationship to nature and catalyse personal responses in a time where crucial and loving action to global issues is much needed.We are very happy to announce a FREE half-day Kinship Workshop in Richmond, London as part of our 2023 residency at <a href="https://www.orleanshousegallery.org/cultural-reforesting/what-is-cultural-reforesting/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Orleans House Gallery</a>. This workshop also takes place as part of the <a href="https://richmondartsandideas.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Richmond Arts and Ideas Festival </a>which this year explores the theme Together &amp; Change.From our meeting point at the front entrance to *Orleans House Gallery in Twickenham*, we’ll then spend our day in and around the gardens exploring our relationship to place through sensing, moving and reflection.Please arrive for a prompt 10am start.Please bring with you clothing layers to keep you warm/ protect from the sun including a sun hat, clothes and shoes you feel comfortable to move freely in and you don’t mind getting dirty, enough water to keep you hydrated for the duration of the workshop. We recommend covering as much skin as possible to protect from the sun but also to help prevent insect bites including tick bites. Please try to bring as little with you as you can so that you feel comfortable to walk from location to location.Please have a look at the <a href="https://kinshipworkshop.info/for-participants/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">What To Expect</a> page of our website if you would like more information on the general format of a Kinship Workshop.ACCESS and TRAVEL: we‘ll meet at the front entrance steps outside Orleans House Gallery, Orleans Road, Twickenham. TW1 3BL - which is an easy 15-minute walk from either Twickenham or St. Margarets station. There are toilets at the Gallery. During the day, we’ll be using tarmac, gravel and earth tracks as well as going off track completely. There will also be a possibility to make adaptions to various access requirements. We will walk between several sites, walking up to about 15-20 minutes at a time.20 PLACES AVAILABLESCHEDULE: 10am-1pmWORKSHOP TICKETS: We have 20 places available: 10 places for residents of Richmond and Wandsworth, and 10 places for other participants.
