Biodiversity Net Gain is a concept that aims to leave the natural environment in a measurably better state than it was in beforehand.

Biodiversity Net Gain is a concept that aims to leave the natural environment in a measurably better state than it was in beforehand.
This concept will be enshrined in law when parts of the Environment Act 2021 come into force (currently anticipated for November 2023), which will compel most development planning applications to demonstrate the delivery of at least 10% biodiversity net gain and secure habitat enhancement for 30 years.
Our panel of experts will be answering questions and investigating what the actual impact of this is for property developers. 
We invite attendees to provide questions for our panel with Tony Horsey of Ortus Group as host. In terms of our panel mix, we will be joined by Jon Garner, Director of ecology consultants GE Consulting, Ben Standing, Partner at law firm Browne Jacobson, who specialises in planning and environmental law, a planner to represent the local authority view and a developer.This FREE to attend session will commence with a brief introduction setting out the subject. Each of our panellists will then state their position before opening up to the pre-submitted questions.We think this will be an enlightening session that just might help us all to find a way to work together more effectively.
