*Initially three places only per local authority*This workshop is planned for 10am to 1pm on Wednesday 4th October 2023. The training will be held virtually via Zoom. A Zoom link will be emailed to all those that booked via Eventbrite nearer to the time. One booking per link. Please click on the below link to book - this is the only way to book. These workshops have proved popular and are always sold out. The sole focus is on Convention Adoption in overseas cases with kinship carers. The aim of the workshop is to bring together practitioners in the Outbound Placement field to discuss issues on cases with the Outbound Team and to share practice. Our legal researcher, Cathie Jenkins, Team Manager, and Specialist advisor Sandra Latter, will lead the workshop presenting an overview of the legal and practice issues regarding Convention Adoption for children being placed abroad. There will then be ample time to discuss issues regarding Convention Adoption overseas cases during case studies and group discussion.The meeting costs £10 per place (plus VAT) to local authorities that have a separate subscription to the Outbound service. If you are receiving this link, this means that your local authority is a current subscriber to the Outbound service. Attendance is by registration only using this Eventbrite system. No refunds - but name changes are allowed. Please notify us of any name change by the day before the event so that we know to admit them into the meeting on the day.
