<h2>What is this year's conference about?</h2><p>Grassroots movements have long been the driving force behind some of the world's most significant social, economic, and political changes. These movements are often born out of a desire to challenge the status quo and bring about positive change in their communities. </p><p>This conference will connect different national and international grassroots campaigners to build strength from solidarity. Our goal is to create a space where individuals and organisations can come together to share their motivations for doing advocacy, support each other in improving the sustainability and quality of their campaigning, and develop new skills to become more effective campaigners.</p><p></p><h2>W﻿ho is this event for?</h2><p>Anyone with an interest in standing up  for a fairer world is welcome: whether you campaign on local, national or international issues, whether you already advocate for a particular cause or are still looking for a movement to join, whether you are only just starting out as an advocate or you have been campaigning with RESULTS for a long time.</p><p>If you are not familiar with RESULTS, you can hear more in our welcoming session on Saturday morning. There will also be a chance throughout the conference to speak to the Campaigns team and ask any questions. 📍 Human Rights Action Centre, 25 New Inn Yard, London EC2A 3EA<p>On Saturday you will hear from high profile speakers, participate in advocacy skills workshops and learn from thought-provoking panel discussions. With a wide range of topics, including environmental justice, youth activism and education, there will be something for everyone! This day is a wonderful opportunity to meet people working within the field of international development, gain insights from their expertise and develop practical skills in advocacy and campaigning. 📍 Calthorpe Community Garden, 258-274 Grays Inn Rd, London WC1X 8LH<p>A﻿fter being introduced to a range of issues on Saturday, the following day of the conference will be a chance for you to explore further the causes you were most interested in or felt most passionate about by using Open Space Technology.</p><p>This new and exciting technology will allow you to create the day’s agenda with other attendees. The format is designed to be participatory, inclusive and collaborative, encouraging lively discussion and debate. We will have facilitators to help guide the process, but other than that you are totally in control! </p><h3>Monday</h3>
📍 Millbank tower office, then  Whitehall &amp; Westminster<p>O﻿n the Advocacy Day you will have the opportunity to meet with FCDO civil servants and MPs to talk about international development. In a series of meetings, all lead by grassroots volunteers like yourself, you and a group of other passionate campaigners will be able to learn more about the inner workings of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and the impact of RESULTS campaigns on their programmes. You will have the chance to influence politicians and press them to act on topics such as global health and quality education. </p><p>I﻿f you are - or would like to be - an advocate for an end to world poverty, this is an exciting  opportunity to talk to decision makers and take a stance for the things you believe in!</p>
