The Glass-House Community Led Design is a national charity dedicated to connecting people with the design of their places, and connecting design with people. For over two decades, we have supported communities, organisations and networks to work collaboratively to shape buildings, spaces, homes and neighbourhoods.The Glass-House sees design not only as a tool for creating great places, but also as a way to connect people and empower them with enhanced confidence, skills and a greater sense of agency. We provide hands-on support and training, share knowledge and learning, and inspire new thinking and debate through action research, events and resources.

Glass-House Chats: Series 3

Glass-House Chats are monthly one hour sessions, which explore different topical placemaking provocations in a safe online space that invites discussion and debate.

Over the last 9 months, our third series of <a href="https://theglasshouse.org.uk/glass-house-chats-series-3/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Glass-House Chats</a> have been exploring a host of different topics, from how we amplify different voices within the built environment, such as young people’s voices or the intangible voice of nature, to how we challenge stereotypes and break down barriers within placemaking. You can explore our takeaways from this series <a href="https://theglasshouse.org.uk/tag/gh-chats-series-3/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here</a>.In this series finale, which will take the form of an online roundtable discussion, we will bring back conversations from across the series to thread together ideas around Resilient Places. What does resilience mean in placemaking, and how do different components of both the built environment, human and nonhuman experience feed into creating resilient places now and in the future?Both returning Glass-House Chat attendees and newcomers to the series are invited to join us online on Tuesday 25 July, 10 - 11am, for this 60-minute conversation to discuss and connect with placemakers from across sectors and disciplines. Our Zoom room will remain open for 30 minutes following the roundtable for networking and further conversation.This session will be chaired by The Glass-House team and will consist of an informal and open discussion among participants. To make sure you can participate in this session, please ensure you join the Chat from somewhere you can use your computer/ device mic and camera to engage with the conversation.Please be aware that there are limited spaces for each event, with a maximum of 15 attendee spaces. We would be grateful if you could let us know with 48 hours notice if you're no longer able to attend the event so that those on the waiting list can be offered a place.
