Celebrating the relationship with Napier University Publishing, Edinburgh Literary Salon is paying a visit to Bruntsfield this May.

In August this year the Edinburgh Literary Salon is publishing a second anthology in conjunction with Edinburgh Napier University’s publishing Masters course, with brand new writing from a fine selection of emerging and established writers. The Salon is delighted that Napier have offered to host this month’s event at the Merchiston Campus in Bruntsfield, on the usual last Tuesday of the month. The focus, naturally, will be on publishing, and the Big Reveal of the evening will be to announce the title of the next book.There will be a chance to hear from the students involved in the project, an introduction to some of the contributors, and a brief talk with a local publisher closely associated with the Salon: Peter Burnett from Leamington Books. Anyone familiar with Salon events will know the format: arrive at 6.30 for a drinks reception, then following a welcome there will be a short presentation from 7-ish for around 45 minutes.After this we encourage attendees to mingle and chat. Since the Literary Salon is usually held in a pub, there may be a move to retire to a Holy Corner hostelry once the wine has run out! Edinburgh Literary Salon welcomes anyone with an interest in the literary arts at any level. The venue is fully accessible, and for those elsewhere the presentation will be live-streamed via zoom. Attendees are also invited to arrive earlier and visit the Degree Show at the campus. Information on how to get to the venue or access the zoom will be sent before the event, and registration to attend is, as always, free.
