You may have heard of a Flea Circus but what about a Bee Circus?! Come and take a closer look at one of nature’s most buzz-tastic creatures, the humble bee, in a new, family-friendly show.Born out of a passion for platforming the unheard voices of bees (they’re often very quiet and buzzy and therefore easily misunderstood) and the struggles of a Romanian migratory parent to find his community, this family-friendly show takes a closer look at the buzz-tastic bee!Prepare to bee amazed!A new show created by Dorset artists Sophie Fretwell and Bogdan Babei.Performers: Bogdan Babei and Ian NealeT﻿his workshop is free but booking is advised as spaces are limited.Inbetween Parks Foundation will also be running bee bomb workshops throughout the day. Plus there will be Romanian musicians playing a 30 minute set after the last performance 4-4.30pm. F﻿or all our free workshops as part of <a href="https://gotbeaf.co.uk/event/beaf-art-pavilion/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">BEAF Arts festival visit here</a>.Artist bios: Sophie Fretwell, is a disabled theatre designer and maker, based in Portland who has designed costumes, sets and puppets for local companies like Arts University Bournemouth, Angel Exit, Gobbledegook and Diverse City’s EBYA. Dan Babei, is a Transylvanian performer and musician also living in Dorset, who has performed in various, local, ACE funded community productions.The Buzztastic Bee-Balancing Blundershow is a BEAF 2023 Commission. Getting to us:T﻿his workshop is in the BEAF Arts Pavilion, a temporary space directly outside of B.A.D. (Boscombe Arts Depot)If you are coming by foot or by bus, take the M2 bus and get off near Boscanova if coming from Southbourne, or next to Aldi if coming from Poole and Bournemouth. Walk along the high-street and please come to the main entrance at B.A.D. directly opposite Costa.If you are coming by car we would recommend parking in the sovereign centre car park, then come to the main entrance on the high-street.Pokesdown for Boscombe train station is a 15-20 minute walk from B.A.D. along Christchurch Road.
