“The best journeys never really end …….” Pico IyerWhether you go on into academia or industry, life as a researcher will consist of a continuous series of overlapping learning journeys which are always starting and finishing. The underpinning theme of this two-day programme is therefore supporting your journey toward becoming a researcher, equipping you with the skills and confidence to gain your doctorate – and beyond. P﻿lease note that this event isn't a writing retreat - for that, we recommend one of our regular Thesis Boot Camps. Rather, you'll be taking part in a series of activities taking you through the life of a typical research project, collaborating with fellow researchers as you go in order to create real world impact.This event will be taking place over two days (Tuesday 18 July 09:00-22:00 and Wednesday 19 July 09:00-17:00). We’ll be in-person at Frenchay Campus – sorry, but online attendance isn’t available on this occasion. Full catering will be provided. Up to 25 rooms in UWE student accommodation will be available for the night of 18-19 July. As a commitment to participation, UWE PGRs who accept offers of a place will be asked to pay a contribution of £30.00. If you're attending through a Doctoral Training Partnership (eg SWDTP) then all costs will be covered.
