In our globalised and multi-cultural society, cross-border and jurisdictional issues are becoming increasingly common in Court of Protection work, and the Mental Capacity Act 2005 only provides limited guidance as to how to deal with these. This talk will focus on a number of the most common issues that arise, including:
•	What happens to a deputyship and the COP’s jurisdiction when P moves abroad?
•	When does the COP have jurisdiction to deal with P’s assets if P lives abroad?
•	Advice for dealing with property owned by P in other jurisdictions.
