Interpreting Illegal Immigration - Legal terminology for interpreters and translators

Who the webinar is for:This is a terminology rich webinar for language professionals already working or looking to work in this area, specifically interpreters, translators and DPSI Law candidates. The webinar is presented by lawyer linguist Sue Leschen, Solicitor (non – practising), LLB, BA: Social Studies, Diploma in Public Service Interpreting, who herself has 20 years (ongoing) experience working in this field. What the webinar will cover inter alia:<ul><li>What is “illegal” immigration?</li></ul><ul><li>Legal and other related terminology</li></ul><ul><li>Professional conduct and ethics </li></ul><ul><li>Cultural concerns </li></ul><ul><li>Politics and policies – where the government is going with illegal immigration </li></ul><ul><li>Work opportunities for language professionals in this area </li></ul>
