About the conferenceWe know that creativity and culture are essential parts of a healthy society. We know that community and equality must be at the heart of redesigning systems that improve wellness of people and the planet. We know that there are countless organisations and individuals working tirelessly to champion this approach in their work. But what next? What needs to happen at a personal, organisational, and political level to bring creativity and health together and cultivate change? And how can we lever this collective change whilst maintaining our own wellness?

Who is it for?It is for people who are interested in creativity/ culture, health and wellbeing and working collectively to bring about social change.We imagine our audience will be a mixture of people with lived experience of using creativity and culture to support their own health and wellbeing, freelancers and organisations in arts, culture and heritage, the research community, and leaders from across voluntary and community sector, health and local authorities.S﻿upporting Each Other - Pay it Forward Ticket SchemeT﻿here are many reasons why some people who may benefit from the conference may not feel able to. CHWA wants to support people who may have barriers to attending.T﻿hrough our Pay it Forward Ticket scheme, individuals or organisations with the means can chose to purchase an additional ticket, which CHWA will allocate to a potential attendee who would not otherwise be able to attend. We are encouraging a ‘come as you are’ approach, with plenty of opportunities for creative play, nourishment and replenishment through a variety of interactive talks, performances and workshops. We hope that this will spark meaningful conversation, allow for processing and reflection, and give equal opportunity to those working in the sector.

Accessibility is important to us. We understand that access is a highly personal and ever evolving area of need, and that barriers to access come in many forms. However, we want to avoid being tokenistic in our access offer. Therefore, if BSL support has not been requested by the time ticket sales close, we will redirect these funds to other emerging areas of access. Due to the preparation time required by the BSL team, If you require BSL support, please make sure you book by Friday 22nd September.Other access support includes:<ul><li>F﻿ree essential companion tickets for those who would otherwise struggle to attend</li><li>Main panels supported with live captioning </li></ul><ul><li>BSL interpretation for main panels and breakouts can be provided</li><li>Quiet spaces</li><li>Support staff and marshalls, including mental health first aiders across sites</li><li>Physical signage and way-finding</li><li>Shorter sessions and regular breaks</li></ul>Please let us know how we can support you to participate in this event via the booking form or write to us at fiona@culturehealthandwellbeing.org.uk

Tickets and BursariesWe have worked to keep ticket costs as low as possible for all attendees and subsided wherever we can.We have created a tiered ticket system to reflect additional costs faced by freelancers and unsalaried workers for attending. Please select a ticket that reflects your work. Here are our definitions for large and small organisations.<ul><li>Large organisations -10 + FTE employees or more</li><li>Small organisations - under 10 + FTE employees or more</li></ul>BursariesWe are working with local and national partners to secure bursaries – more to be announced soon.C﻿ompanion TicketsW﻿e offer free companion tickets to those with access needs, who would otherwise struggle to attend the event. FoodPlease let us know about any allergies, intolerances and preferences when you book your ticket.Meals provided in the ticket costs:<ul><li>Wednesday: mid afternoon drinks &amp; cake and a hot evening meal &amp; drinks </li><li>Thursday: lunchtime buffet with drinks and mid afternoon drinks &amp; cake</li><li>Friday: mid morning hot drinks and a lunch bag to take away</li></ul>In line with our Climate policy, all food served will be vegetarian and we will not be providing bottles of water in our lunch bags.

Refund PolicyFor in-person tickets, we can provide a refund minus the Eventbrite processing costs until 5pm, Tuesday 19 September 2023. After that point we regret that we can't provide refunds; but we may be able to accept a transfer of your ticket to another holder. Please contact finance@culturehealthandwellbeing.org.uk with any requests for a refund.
