What were you doing in the 1960s ? Well we all know what John Profumo was doing don’t we ! Revisit this fascinating period with Stuart Miller who sets the general context and takes you back to the age of snowdrifts, Mary Quant and Buddy Holly then dissects the events which resulted in a ministerial resignation (a what ?) and helped bring about the fall of a government. 
(Once upon a time Stuart Miller was a lecturer at the University of Sunderland and head of the Continuing Education Unit. He has worked for the WEA as course organiser, project manager and tutor (still). He has written numerous articles and books about local, regional and national history.)

All members of the community, regardless of age or background, are welcome to participate.Location:Holy Trinity Sunderland is conveniently located close to the Donnison School and Sunderland Maritime Heritage Museum for avid history fans to make the most of their visit.
