Welcome back Steve Wells! Steve  will explore how operational data enriched with  foresight can help us be future ready.

When it comes to exploring the nature of what we want to achieve through change and why, we have a mountain of data and information to consider. In many organisational change programmes, we are seeking to make changes inside the organisation that allow us to interact with the external world in different ways. Not only that, we also want the change we implement to be future-ready. It’s this situation that requires the marrying up of organisational development insight – the inside-out view, with insight about the external, future world – the outside-in view.In this session, Futurist Steve Wells will explore why this approach is so crucial, the types of data, information, and insights we can generate, and how we marry the internal and external perspectives to create the context for future-ready change. Steve Wells is a futurist, experienced international speaker, facilitator, and founder of Informing Choices Ltd (www.informingchoices.com) an insights business specialising in future studies and foresight. He creates thought provoking keynote speeches and presentations, executive education events, and horizon scanning studies, designed to help individuals and organisations make informed choices about their role in the emerging future. To do that, he works with trends and drivers of future change to create ideas and plausible scenarios that can deliver insights to the individuals and organisations that want to consider and create a better future. He has previously worked as COO at Fast Future Publishing – a foresight consultancy and publisher – and as Strategy Development Manager in Pfizer Inc.’s UK business where he worked across the C-suite to lead and facilitate the company’s strategic planning process.
