What does the taster class cost?

What should I wear?

Something comfortable and flat shoes. Expect to get warm, a bit like an exercise class. Trainers are fine on your feet, though other flat shoes might be easier to dance in.

I don't have a partner, can I still come?

Yes absolutely. You are most welcome.

Question 4

I have two left feet, will I be able dance?

Accepted Answer

Yes, no problem. You don't need any dancing skills or great coordination. We'll teach you what to do.

Question 5

I get dizzy if I spin. Is it all about spinning?

Accepted Answer

There is quite a bit of spinning in some dances, but Kate can adapt the dance moves to suit your requirements, and the dance will still be lots of fun. Just have a chat to Kate to let her know if you have any particular concerns or requirements.

Question 6

How about parking?

The Carharrack Social Club has a car park. Do car share, walk to the venue or use the bus if you can, for the sake of the environment.

Question 7

I'd love to come but my children are under 10 . What do I do?

Accepted Answer

You may bring children of any age, ceilidhs are family affairs. We do want to make sure that those wanting to learn the dances can, and this can be tricky with many small children in a set, hence the suggested age of 10+, so please can we gently ask that you are mindful of this when taking part.

I really enjoyed the class on the 7th, can I come to this too?

Fantastic that you enjoyed our first taster class. This one on 10th is a duplicate of the class on the 7th, and intended for those who missed getting a ticket before the class on 7th got fully booked. Please do come along to our ceilidh with live band on 15th, it'll be great to dance with you again!
