Glasgow’s tech and innovation ecosystem is thriving, with its enterprise value currently standing at £3.4Bn having risen 89% since 2018. This afternoon’s session focusses on sport innovators who are supporting athletes and enthusiasts of all levels stay safe and enjoy their sporting endeavours in Glasgow and beyond.We are delighted to welcome representatives from the following companies from Glasgow and Manchester:<ol><li>The CEO of HindSight, Alexander Macdonald, who has developed alongside brand ambassador and Olympic cyclist Callum Skinner, glasses that allow cyclists to be aware of their surroundings to ensure they are aware of potential dangers. This innovative technology allows users to choose their focus between the road in front of them and the one behind.</li></ol><ul><li>FOMO was developed by Founder and Managing Director, Carmen Cummiskey whilst studying Sports Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. Horse riding had been a large part of her life, having suffered a couple of serious falls, Carmen promised to wear a body protector to ensure she had maximum protection and to avoid any further injuries. However, she felt it was uncomfortable to wear. With a lack of real sport-specific innovation, Carmen decided to design something to inspire rider confidence and ability in the saddle.</li></ul><ul><li>QTV is an award-winning production company and the leading independent outside broadcast facility in Scotland. They provide bespoke production and content solutions for a fast-changing broadcast and digital landscape, combining international experience with local knowledge to support over fifty partners globally. Hear from CEO, Jack McGill about his journey.</li></ul><ul><li>We hear from James Leinhardt, CEO of Manchester based company Levitex, a patented innovation in Foam Technology which presents commercial advantages across a broad spectrum of applications.
