About the adult courses at Phoenix Art SpacePhoenix Art Space provides a mix of high quality courses aimed at practicing or aspiring artists and art lovers. They are suitable for anyone (including beginners unless otherwise stated) who wants to learn new skills from professional artists and would like to meet like minded people in a supportive and creative environment. We usually provide all the basic materials unless stated in the course descriptions. We recommend booking your place early as some popular courses fill up very quickly.All courses are aimed at adults (over 18 years) unless otherwise stated. Course fees are kept as low as possible to encourage everyone to participate in the arts, therefore we do not offer concessionary rates  on any tickets. We are unable to offer discounted rates for other reasons, for instance if you are unable to attend all the sessions, unless the course has already started and has unfilled spaces.We accept payments online by credit or debit card and PayPal. Offline payment options are only available when booking a ticket in person at the Phoenix Art Space front desk during gallery opening hours.We regret we are unable to provide car or bicycle parking facilities (except for students with disabilities).If you have any additional needs please let us know and we will endeavour to accommodate them. We have disabled access on the ground floor where the courses are held, including a ramp and toilet facilities. Create your own unique and stylish decorations and a willow star for your Christmas tree. This is a perfect way to enjoy some festive making in the run up to Christmas and decorate your home with your own creations.Crafts using your hands can be a therapeutic and an enjoyable experience. Make your very own handmade items to give as gifts or keep for your home.This course is suitable for all levels including beginners. She is interested in growing and foraging natural materials for making but also has a make-do-and-mend approach and is always on the look-out for man-made materials that can be adapted or useful in basket-making. This requires a lot of testing to work out the qualities of the materials and their suitability for different weaving techniques. As an advocate for the crafts Sarah also helps run a small leather accessories company and teaches and practices basketry in Brighton.
