Join us at the Otley Food Workshops, two dynamic and engaging events that aim to shape the future of our community's culinary landscape. Delve into the current food scene during two interactive sessions - 11th and 25th of July 2023 6:30-9pm. During each session, enjoy a complimentary dinner, listen to talks by successful Leeds community food groups and share your experiences and ideas during group discussions.These sessions will be led by Rachel Jones, who is currently undertaking her MSc Sustainable Cities at the University of Leeds. This research, as well as creating recommendations for the future of food in Otley, will form part of her dissertation project.In this, our second session, we'll explore the profound connection between food and community and discuss Otley's community and food groups. Finally, we'll envision an ideal community food growing site, considering its physical aspects, organizational structure, and purpose.W﻿e will start the workshop at 6:30pm with free vegan food from Otley's very own <a href="https://www.facebook.com/greendoorcateringco/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Green Door Catering Company</a>. We will also have a guest talk from a local community farm.Don't miss this opportunity to make a difference! As part of this they look to work with local education institutes to give young people the chance to interact with real world issues and work on solutions to help them create a thriving future.This event is funded by the University of Leeds and Leeds City Council.
