We invite you to attend a workshop on protest drumming.   XR Drumming is easy to learn.  No experience or instruments needed.

We are excited to announce the first offering of XR Drumming Workshops in Germany! Our international team of experienced drum facilitators from Manchester, UK, and Berlin, Germany is coming together to bring you interactive workshops that transcend language barriers. These workshops will be conducted in both English and German, making them accessible to a diverse range of participants.

Our aim is to expand the XR drumming community by inspiring participatory social music-making that fosters connections between communities and movements within the climate and social justice realm. These workshops are designed for individuals with no prior musical experience, so whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced drummer, everyone is welcome to join!

During these workshops, participants will have the opportunity to:

Learn about the XR drumming network and its global reach.
Discover how to set up and coordinate a drumming band.
Explore basic rhythm patterns and techniques.
Understand hand signals for effective communication during performances.
Acquire activist drumming techniques, strategies, and organizational skills.
Led by a team of 6-10 experienced drum facilitators, these workshops promise to be an enriching and educational experience for all. We will provide all the necessary equipment, so you can simply come and immerse yourself in the power of XR Drumming.

By participating in these workshops, you will not only gain valuable knowledge and skills but also establish connections with a wider network of XR drummers. This network will provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure the success of your local XR drumming group.

The first workshops are being offered between July 23-30, 2023, with additional dates to be announced based on demand and interest.

Join us as we embark on this rhythmic journey of rebellion and unity. Together, we can create a powerful movement that resonates with the heartbeat of change.

No prior musical experience is required. We encourage anyone who shares the values of XR-RoR to come and be a part of this transformative experience.
