PR Masterclass: “I’m ok promoting other people’s work, but I’m rubbish at promoting myself”If you’ve ever found yourself saying it (and we’ve all been there!), this is the ideal event for you. Join this 3-hour learning event, where you will gain bespoke PR guidance to apply to your own project from Helen Oldfield of Affinity PR, a creative industry-specialist Consultant and a PR Coach. Helen will work hands-on with a small group of up to 20 creative professionals, with each person identifying their own PR goal at the outset (Helen can help you if that’s a tough ask!). After this workshop you will: -	Understand exactly what PR is and what it can achieve-	Know if you’re ready to begin brand-building off a good reputation -	Know how to reality-check your PR ideas and options-	Understand where best to allocate your marketing budget -	Be able to articulate your PR Strategy to vital stakeholders, including funders-	Be able to refer to Helen’s failsafe process to shape your great ideas into a viable, strong campaign.Who is this event for? •	Freelancers, sole traders, micro-businesses and SME’s in creative industries who work or are based in Colchester. •	People who want or need to do their own PR. •	NB: This is not for people already in PR or marketing roles C﻿ost: £20Full bursary places are available. Since she began her Press career at Edinburgh International Festival in 1988, she has helped hundreds of clients to shape and enhance their reputation.
