Oxford economists are working with governments and businesses around the world to improve policy and make the economy work better for everyone. Find out how economics can be used to shed light on some of the biggest issues facing society today.

<h2>H﻿amish Low will tackle the topic of the economics of disability by defining &#x27;health shocks&#x27; and comparing the severity of a health shock to the quality of life and economic prosperity of the person affected by it. Low will compare the success of the UK vs the US government&#x27;s attempts to support people with health shocks, and consider the benefits to both the individual and the governments.</h2>
