We're celebrating Christmas the only way we know how - with chemistry! Chemistry is the science of stuff, of atoms and molecules, but how does that stuff help add the sparkle to Christmas? Join Katherine Haxton as we walk in the footsteps of Michael Faraday and consider how chemistry is essential to lighting up our Christmas and bringing sparkle to the darkest point in the year. We will consider the chemistry of Christmas past and present then contemplate what Christmas may be like in the future. All from the perspective of atoms, molecules, and things that glow. How better to see in Christmas than with a night of live chemistry?! This event is particularly suitable for ages 7+. As with all our family theatre talks, this event is designed to be enjoyed by adults and children together. All young people under the age of 13 need to be accompanied by a paying adult and those aged 4 and above need a ticket to attend.By booking to attend events at the Royal Institution, you confirm that you have read and accept the Ri's <a href="https://www.rigb.org/terms-and-conditions" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">event terms and conditions</a>.
