Come join a FREE programme of arts activities this summer! From 28 July – 17  August 2023 all in the Chisenhale Learn + Play + Create Space! Created by Chisenhale Dance Space, Chisenhale Gallery, & Chisenhale Studios and supported by Action for Bow

Join artist and poet Charlotte Mew to play with words and examine the objects she finds exploring East London. The outcomes are always something unexpected.Charlotte will provide a series of found objects which can be used to inspire a story . There will be an opportunity to make rubbings and draw elements of the objects as well as a handful of words to bring the story of your object to life. Workshops are designed for children aged 6 to 12 and their adults. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.Booking guarantees a place but drop-ins will be accommodated within capacity.Please contact andrea@chisenhale.co.uk to discuss any access needs. We will endeavour to meet all requests where possible. Charlotte Mew is a visual artist and poet who specialises in the spoken and written word. Her writing which manifests itself in contemporary culture is rigorous, lyrical and by its presentation meditative. Found objects that draw on memory are a source of further inspiration.
