Spanish Researchers in the United Kingdom (SRUK/CERU)is an independent and non-profit organisation without any political affiliation. SRUK/CERU was created in July 2011 and officially established in June 2012 (Certified Company House of England and Wales Registry #8160501).SRUK/CERU was created to promote communication within the community of Spanish Researchers working in the United Kingdom. This association also aims to help closing the gap between Scientists and the general public from British and Spanish societies. Moreover, SRUK/CERU seeks to develop collaborations between this community and Research and Development-related institutions and businesses in Spain and the UK.SRUK carries out the processing of personal data in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998/General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) www.ico.org.uk. You can access a copy of the SRUK Data Protection Policy LINK. The 2nd SRUK/CERU Cancer Research Networking Day will take place on September 18th, 2023, in  Madrid at the CNIO.

The networking day will provide an opportunity to bring together experts from diverse backgrounds and fields of expertise to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and foster new collaborations in the areas of liquid biopsy, immunotherapy and cancer stem cells.In order to facilitate the attendance of SRUK/CERU members residing in the UK, we are offering microgrants partly supporting travel expenses. Members can apply for a microgrant until the 8th September via the <a href="https://members.sruk.org.uk/grants-and-awards/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">SRUK/CERU Member Zone</a>. If you wish to become a member, you can sig up <a href="https://join.sruk.org.uk" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">here </a>as well.The <a href="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdMEMWg2zaDgh56O55Lq-wcsNRsy-qV7z6q6BuJd2heJgoC4Q/viewform" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">call for abstracts</a> for short talks is now open for postdocs and predocs until 8th September. Membership is not mandatory.Registration for this event is free but mandatory, with limited availability. Book your ticket  using SRUK/CERU EventBrite. Everyone is welcome! Deadline 8th September or until all the spaces are taken. So we recommend registering sooner rather than later!
