Challenge Walk 6    The Daily Toil       6.5 miles

The Ironbridge Gorge Walking Festival Experience- A warm welcome.- Over 60 free walks from 2 to 21 (ish) miles over a nine-day period.- Morning, afternoon and evening walks.- Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult with parental responsibility on most walks up to 10 miles and with permission on walks of a longer distance.- Dog friendly walks.- Friendly and experienced walk leaders who are passionate about walking and who love the area.- Medals for completing 25, 50, 75, 100 or 150 miles (Cartman Challenge)- An opportunity to experience the beautiful landscape of the Gorge, learn about its industrial heritage and even climb The Wrekin, one of our famous Shropshire landmarks which offers a bird’s eye view of the Gorge.- A celebration event including medals  ceremony on the last day of the Festival at the All Nations Inn from 4.30pm.

Coalbrookdale & Ironbridge Community Centre

<p>We leave Coalbrookdale for Ironbridge, looking for signs of the industries that once thrived here. We cross the river and follow the old railway to Jackfield and the Memorial bridge, where we re-cross and return towards Ironbridge through Lloyd’s Coppice. As we return to Ironbridge we leave the river and climb up through the town before dropping back down into Coalbrookdale via part of the Sabbath Walks. Quiet roads, gravel tracks, woodland, field paths. Steps, no stiles, some sections may be muddy!   GRADE 3.</p>
