Exploring the potential for Creative AI

Do you use, or are you interested in using, Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning for creative purposes? These upcoming workshops will help us gather data and insight to understand how best to support innovation in AI / machine learning.

Do you use or are you interested in using Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning for creative purposes?Through its Creative AI Demonstrator project, Creative Informatics is looking to explore the potential for Creative AI in Scotland. We will use data and insight gathered at this workshop to understand how best to invest resources to support innovation in AI / machine learning.We'd love you to join this workshop if:<ul><li>You use AI (machine learning, neural nets, deep learning) at any stage in the creative process</li><li>You work in the arts and are interested in working with AI</li><li>You are bringing AI into your creative practice</li><li>You are developing new products or ideas with AI</li></ul>We particularly welcome participants with a range of diverse perspectives who are undertaking creative work or running creative businesses that use data and new technology. This workshop is part of Creative Informatics Creative AI Demonstrator Project, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the Department for Culture Media and Sport (DCMS), to explore the potential for using AI, and specifically Creative AI, in the creative industries in Scotland. CostsWe want to ensure that our project engages with a broad network and will try to remove any barriers to attendance that you might face. We are able to offer participants the following reimbursements: Travel expenses up to £30 Care costs (such as childcare) up to £70 Reimbursements will be made after the event on production of appropriate receipts/invoice. Please note that university payment terms are 30 days. If you are self employed and facing a loss of income that will not be covered by the above, please get in touch creativeinformatics@ed.ac.uk and we can chat through options. Access Please let us know if you have any access or dietary requirements that would help you to feel more comfortable and able to join this event. This could include things like seating close to the front for visibility, a requirement for parking or access to a quiet space.
