Join us for an overview of the work of the Taskforce on Children’s Play in Healthcare, a joint initiative of NHS England and Starlight.

<h3>How can the NHS be enabled to make high-quality, properly resourced play services more widely available to more children? 
</h3>
This webinar will present an overview of the work of the Taskforce on Children’s Play in Healthcare, a joint initiative of NHS England and Starlight, working with the National Association of Health Play Specialists, the Health Play Specialist Educational Trust, Sophie’s Legacy and the relevant Royal Colleges. 


The taskforce convened three different workstreams, from November 2022 to June 2023 involving nearly 70 health professionals. They considered the key challenges facing health play services in England and set out to develop: – 

<ul><li>New play standards for healthcare providers; 

</li><li>New guidance for commissioners; and 

</li><li>A workforce development strategy for the health play sector. 
</li></ul>
The webinar will report on the taskforce’s progress to date, provide an update on next steps, and open for discussion on both the potential impact and the future challenges for this work.
